lidar jammers

There is some useful information about radar and lidar detection
and jamming at www.radar.co.nz/index.html.

It's a rather crude commercial site but the information presented
is quite credible.  It reinforces the current thread on diy jamming
of laser speed guns.  Apparently, the name of the game is to be
able to push enough watts of IR energy straight up and down the
road to swamp any lurking receivers -front or rear. And, as luck
would have it, the site owner would be happy to sell you equipment
that can do this. A number of interesting limitations to laser use
are discussed. (Btw, Halogen lights do make laser night use more
difficult according to this source.)
