bad acceleration

This past weekend I drove approx. 60 miles on dirty, dry,dusty,gravelly road
at an average speed of probably 65 mph. ... now, everything still is fine,
except in 1st gear ... it seems to have lost power or something, the engine
somewhat "weens" i believe I've gotten something dirty that shouldn't be and I
have no idea where to start..... anyone? Please help I have to actually be
careful when driving it now......
