Re:4KS auto cold=no shift (was 5KS auto)



Mine was slow to shift into any gear, (3,000 rpm) when cold/warming
up. This was after many "out the dipstick hole" fluid changes. Had my
mechanic pull the valve body, clean like crazy, *removed and cleaned the
valves so they move easily under their own weight*(very important) and put
it back together. He chuched them in a drill press, actually, and gave them
a spin, and touched them with emery paper.Bingo, problem solved, no tranny
removel required.
