Which tire has the most power going to it in a quattro?

This may seem like a stupid question.  One of the tires on my 1995 A6
Quattro Wagon has a nail in the sidewall so I ordered a new one from the
Tire Rack.  All the other tires are moderately new/used. (i.e. they've
still got quite of tread left)

Is there a particular tire that has more power going to it like on a FWD
car?  I was thinking if not, then I'd probably put it up on front to assist
in steering.  I know the quattro is supposed to have a 50/50 split front to
back, but is it also the same from side to side?  My 1995 doesn't have the
automatic EDL (There's still a switch in the center console.)
