Just for clarity.......

The Buick GN has a 3.8liter Buick V6, with a turbo. Yes it was and still is a very
potent engine. The GMC Syclone (and Typhoon) both have a turbocharged Chevy
4.3liter V6, an early version of the Vortec V6.

The Syclone and Typhoon had a zero towing status, due to GMC worrying about people
not driving the vehicles properly and frying the turbo.

The Buick 3.8liter motor is the one currently being used in the Pontiac GTP
Supercharged, using an Eaton supercharger.

IMHO, the 4.3 Vortec is a stronger engine that the Buick 3.8 engine, and would give
a longer service life if used for an engine transplant into an Audi (old or new).
The Vortec engines are plentiful, they can be found in Chevy S-10s, Astro Vans, and
trucks (and the GMC equivalent). Supercharger applications are available for the
Vortec, either Paxton or Whipple make superchargers for these applications. Even
without a supercharger (or turbo) the Vortec is easily capable of more than 200
horsepower with just minor upgrades.

If anybody has any further questions about the Vortec or the Buick, write to me
direct, and I'll try to answer any questions. I've got quite a lot of info in my
brain about GM motors, including the infamous Quad4.
