As I remember from my old Drivers Training in California, the CHP officer
informed us that it was fruitless to run from an officer who could fire a
357 magnum at a full size car, go through the trunk, the back seat, front
seat, driver, dash and firewall and then crack the V8 block, as it drove
away at 65-70 mph.

Now, who knows about high strength door beams and their ability to stop or
deflect shots that happen to hit them.
