November issue of Car and Driver arrived just in time for a quick read
with lunch. Comparison of A4 2.8Q vs. WMB 328i and a preview test of the
TT models with slated arrival dates into the US:
late Spring 99- FWD coupe,
+6 months-  roadster and AWD,
+12 months- 225hp versions
Complaints about the A4 were the usual suspects - tires, brakes, power.
With caveats all over the place, score was WMB, 95; A4, 94.

There's also a test of 98 VW Passat Wagon.  Good review overall except
yep, you guessed it - tires, brakes, power.  99 Passat wagons arrive
this month (November) with V6 and syncro options.  Wonder if the Sedan
(aka A3.5 stretch edition) will get syncro at the same time?
