Don't recall black ones...I've got green ones for the warning lights,
orange
ones for the instruments/guages, and blue ones for turn signals/hi beam
indicator.
I could be mistaken, though.......

The colors denote the lamp current. There are blacks, browns, oranges,
greens, etc. Those in the range of 0.9 to 1.2 mA will work for panel and
warning lamps, they can be barely distinguished by human eyes.
Nevertheless, I would be curious to know what colors were supposed to be
there originally for my 1988 90qs. They were found to be different in my
cars, only about 70 VIN apart, and this could be the result of repairs, or
of what was in the bin at the factory.

BTW, the blueish and obnoxiously bright hi-beam indicator is
counterproductive to good night vision. If and when I get Eurolights, I
think attenuating this lamp would be helpful. I'm sure I'll be able to
determine that the highs are on by external observation.
