Well, if only we who had done it, we could ask them how much it cost.
And how much VAT they had to pay on the wreck, since cars that are
written off in EU countries have to be formally imported first.  It's
an insurance nightmare.  What many people don't appreciate in the UK
is that UK insurance _doesn't_ automatically cover damage to your own
car when abroad - the Green Card is merely a certificate of minimum
legal cover.  And insuring for track use is something else again.
