Tranny Removal/Clutch Questions.

I am currently pulling the tranny out of my 4kq to replace the clutch in
it.  All is going well but I have question.
        One more thing though.  Bently manual says to disconnect clutch
cable before removing slave cylinder.  What clutch Cable.  The Quattro has
a hydraulic clutch, hence the slave Cylinder, there is no cable is there.
THere is a Hyd line but I cant see a need to replace this.  Do they mean
remove the pedal from the push rod that goes into Clutch MC?
