Renier,
I was gonna' write a long rant, even copy some of the drivel on the
Prolong website, but in the interest of the BW challenged listers,
decided not to.  In summary, when applied to automotive products, do the
words "Snake Oil" mean anything in South Africa?  The site and the TV
infomercial are hype.  They "promise" nothing, guarantee nothing, except
to make your wallet lighter.

Mobil does not recommend or endorse the use of additives with any of
their lubricants.  Same goes for many of the other oil companies.

Stick with using good grade oils/filters and proper change intervals.
Save money you would have spent on Prolong for more important expenses,
like parts.
