4kq Euro light question

About to install a pair of H4s into my 87 4kq (aero-grille).

I see the light plug with its three spade connectors of the huge and hard
to find variety.  Resistance measurements should tell me how to hook it
up.  BUT, what is that plug off on the side of the rear housing?  It has
two male spade connectors (quick-connects for everyone else) in a black
plastic connector.
