V8 Knocking

My V8 has begun to knock (ping).  It started about a week ago.  It only
happens only during mild acceleration.  If I push to more aggressive
acceleration the knock ceases.  Already changed fuel as the car is
sensitive to max octane.  Best we can get is 93RON.  Anyone have any
suggestions?  Have not made any other recent changes.  Engine is 100%
stock.  No warning lamps, etc.
