urq idle problem solved
I have solved my urq idle problem....well, diagnosed it at least. I still
have to do some work to solve it.
The problem is due to a leak in the valve cover/engine area. If I
pinch off the vacuum hose at the connection to the valve cover, the
car idles and runs beautifully. If I let it open, the car runs
extremely lean at idle. The vacuum hose is not split, so the
problem must be with some gaskets or seals. For now I have pinched
the hose closed with a tie-wrap so the car runs.
The first thing I plan on replacing is the valve cover gasket and
camshaft oil seal. Has anyone used a rubber gasket on their urquattro?
Where did you get it and how much did it cost?
