Re: All-Road A Go For Y2K

I also think the Subie Outback was in the radar sites. That car is basically
a Legacy wagon with a (faux) hood scoop and other similar stuff crusting
the exterior, and raised an inch or 2 with a squishy suspension and tall balloon tires*. Legacy sales were/is ho-hum,
Outback is wildly popular.
Reminds me of a cartoon, showing a meeting at a sports footware company:
"When we first introduced this shoe at $29.99 we couldn't sell any".
"After adding a racing stripe and raising the price to $99.99, sales went
through the roof"
But all seriousness aside, the AllRoad is clearly more than an Avant with
some body work. The adjusting suspension in particular sounds interesting.

*there's one in my garage, but lets keep that quiet. Funny how we compromise our principles for a warm, soft body to
curl up with at night.
