RE: DHOW: Injector testing
Phil,
Yes, replacing that one injector solved my hot starting problems. But here
is the rest of the story.
I had replaced all 5 injectors with those supposedly "rebuilt" type and
still had hard starting problems. Since the injectors were supposedly
rebuilt I did not suspect them as the problem. After checking all pressures
(ie. system, control, residual pressures) and the usual other stuff like
vacuum leaks etc. I found the one that was soaking the cyclinder with fuel.
The place I bought the rebuilt injectors from sent me another one at no
cost.
On a side note when I ordered the replacement for the bad injector I asked
them how they rebuild the injectors and they told me that they are not
rebuilt they just pull them out of cars that they know are running O.K. If
I would have know that at the start I would have gone with new injectors.
For the time and hassle it caused me the new injectors would have actually
cost less in the long run.
