Winter Driving
I have a serious question for all you Quattro buffs.
I have 1990 80 Quattro. I commute to work about 60 miles roundtrip highway
in New Jersey. I also have a house in Vermont that I drive to every weekend
in the winter. This trip is about 600 miles roundtrip on the weekend.
What would you go for in terms of a tire. Right now, I am in need of tires
and I am debating on whether or not to buy two sets of tires - one for the
winter and the other for non winter - or to buy just one set of high
performance all seasons.
The reason why I am thinking about it is because of all the miles that I
drive. If I do get the two tire option, I may run through the winters in
just one winter and have to buy them again next year.
Do you think the all season will work just fine or should go all out and do
the winter tires?
