These are oil pressure switches. Color of the insulator determines which
pressure it operates at.

That's up to you. If you feel you can prove that they broken it (and you
probably can't, BTW), then go for it.

Go to your nearest Audi dealer, tell the parts guy which sensor are you
looking for. He will check this on his computer and sell you a new one :-)
Dunno how much is it going to cost, probably something like $20. The sensor
is probably sealed by a copper washer, so renew the washer as well. Do not
use teflon tape - it's for monkey lads who don't care to renew the seals.
