:|round all-seasons.

i asked about this in a private email... now that i
see it's a dunlop i can look at their website. i
guess the sp8k is not a wather tire - how about
that sp4k "all weather" tire? general consensus
is that all weather stuff just means mediocre
performance in every condition rather than being
good in one area or more. hrm.

the car came with pirelli p6's (stock '83 ur-q
ronals) and they are nearly balding. i would be
fine with getting a winterish tire (rain/snow)
that drove and wore ok on dry and getting fatty
sticky twisty tires once it thaws.

:|Heck, with the winters here and weekends in Tahoe, _all-seasons_ might be
:|the winter tire?!? Snow tires could be overkill, though I've been in some
:|pretty knarly storms in the mountains...

so have i, in a honda civic, and it's not been so
horrible. i guess what i want is even more of an
unfair advantage (heh) in snow without sacraficing
dry/rain performance. i got a lot of good suggestions
last month when i asked about this, just wanted to
add to the thread now, maybe hear some more stories.
