	i was wondering that m'self, actually, regarding chipping.
	my car passed it's first ever california smog yesterday
	*beam* so i am pretty pleased abou tthat.

	one thing i have thought about is this, and i have taken
	the idea partially from scott mockery's web page (scott
	if you're out there - i emailed!  i wanna buy a chip
	upgrade!) - put in a chip *socket* and keep your old chip.
	if you have to pass smog and you cannot with your ship, a 
	quick swap is all you need to do.
