Type 44 Front Bodywork Compatability [WAS: RE: Importing my Audi.]

I got a silly idea the other day and wanted to see if I could get some idea
of how practical it would be.  It seems to me that the original S4 was based
on the type 44 ... given that to be the case I'm wonering if it would be
possible to transplant the front bodywork from such an S4 (front quarter
panels, hood, bumper, lights) onto an older-style Avant.  While I wouldn't
turn down a newer 100 Avant or S6A I actually prefer the sloping tailgate of
the type 44 Avant.

I appreciate hearing back any thoughts from anyone who has contemplated this
themselves ... TIA!
