Installing new radiator in the 4kcsq, any tips?
This weekend I will probably be installing a new radiator in my '86 4kcsq.
Is there anything I should keep in mind while doing it? It looks like it
will be pretty easy, most bolts look to be fairly easy to get to. Any hidden
ones I should know about? I have the trusty Hayes repair manual to guide me
along, so I think I should be fine (yes, that's a joke).
I havn't done anything with a radiator since I had a '67 Mustang almost 10
years ago, what is the proper water/coolant mixture? What is the best way to
dispose of the old coolant?
BTW, there are two places in town that I'm thinking of getting the radiator
from. The first place has it for $220 w/ one year warranty, the second place
has it for $260 w/ lifetime warranty. Is it worth an extra $40 for the
lifetime warranty?
Thanks,
Matt Daniels
