You will not have seen a reader for traditional Audi fiche (7" x 9 1/2")
for less than a few hundred dollars.  The 'official' portable reader
is made by Minox in Giessen (push-pull spy cameras?) and costs around
$2000 in standard trim.

I understand some of the newer microfiche are a more standard size -
you can get surplus viewers for tens of $$ around here.
