Driver's Door Switch

Thanks to every one who responded to my problem with this switch. One little
thing I left out of my message was that the switch is actually broken. The
plastic pin has snapped off some how. I can feel this through the rubber boot.
My problem is getting the rubber boot off. I tried getting a screwdriver
behind it, but no luck. I can't seem to get it off. Does it come off or do I
just rip it off ?  Does a new switch come with one ?

I would also like to know where this is in the Bentley because there are some
other components mounted on the door frame, both on the hinge side and the
lock side, and I would like to know what they are.
