I have a 1989 Audi 100 which has a problem with the central locking system. It will lock all the doors but will not unlock them. I checked the fuse and it is OK. The pump sucks the locks down but does not blow them up. I can hear a slight noise at the pump when the drivers door is unlocked but no pumping noise. The connecting  hoses must be OK or the vacuum would not hold to lock the doors. Any advice on  causes for the problem other than a bad pump relay? Can any one tell me where this expensive (VDO?) pump can be fixed or replaced with  rebuilt. I think that a replacement is normally about $300. Thanks for the advice.
