Re: water pumps on 89-91 200 and pre-1989 5k(t)/100/200
I think Audi made a mid-year change on the 89 200T -- a different number of
teeth on the pulley.
I have 2 unused water pumps for an 89 200T if anybody wants them. 1
(aftermarket) had the incorrect pulley for my belt, the other (from the Audi
dealer) was difficult to turn by hand so the mechanic (a local german car
guy, not dealer) wanted to install one from his own inventory.
Audi told me that they are always hard to turn at first, they smooth out
after installation....??? Is this true?
$35 each, you pay shipping.
