Fuel pump relay question
Still trying to diagnose an intermitant hard start. Usually takes 6-7
seconds...about the time the oil lamp goes out. Hmm....
What drives the relay whilst cranking? I jumped the pump terminals at the
relay, and heard either the ISV or the frequency valve buzzing away. But
with the relay plugged in, key on, no buzzing. Mr. B say one terminal is
switched with ignition, ones a ground and the other runs to the ignition
control unit, and the Autocheck control unit. Yikes! Is it waiting for oil
pressure before turning on the pump? Is that possible? Sure would be nice
if this was just a junky oil sender...
First relay I've seen with a fist full of diodes, resistors, and a
processer.....sheesh
