I think you took the wrong meaning from my message. The thread started out talking about how much hp is safe and/or usable in a FWD car. Having experienced severe torque steer in some other cars, backing off the throttle is your only choice (with the absence of some version of traction control) when torque steer occurs. Car makers understand this and that the average driver would be 'scared' when they start quickly from a stop and aren't prepared to have the steering wheel jerked out of their hands and thus, traction control in most higher powered, FWD cars.
I don't think the thread ever went into which was more effective, only that AWD and RWD is the preferred drivetrain for racing.
Assuming a typo, "Once you gain traction, then there is inadequate hp." That's an interesting concept, never enough power once you have traction . . . hmmmm Sounds like you need a shot of NOS :)

Once you gain traction, then there is inadequate hp. That goes for any car.
