35 steps to satisfaction

Now I finally know what a _live_ bomb feels like!!! About 35 pumps 'till
losing assist. :) Got my '91 200q down from the jackstands this morning for
the first time in two weeks. Yes, nice to have the luxury of a garage and a
spare vehicle.

New pressure accumulator, re-sealed PS pump, new crankcase breather hose,
new thermostat. All completed before I turned 60 (actually with 4 months to
spare).

Should've been a weekend's work, but I managed to stretch it _way_ out
while agonizing over those PS pump check valves (they never did come out)
and trying to figure out how to remove (or tighten) the mysteriously
leaking coolant pipe. This is the one that Audi's "Marquis de Sade Brigade"
so cleverly interdigitated with the 20V crossflow intake manifold. :( I
finally decided to leave it more-or-less alone, since it (also
mysteriously) seemed to stop leaking.

Hopefully this evening I'll be able to do some test runs to verify if all
fluids are staying put. Biggest surprise was that after all this:
draining/discarding the hydr. reservoir contents, re-sealing pump, and
replacing bomb, it required only a bit more than one liter of Pentosin to
get back to the mark. That's after running the engine and working the
steering 'till the fluid level was constant.
