RE: Flush Completed, Bleeding Going Badly...
Chris,
I went through the same procedure this morning. But no groaning noise.
When I did the the steering wheel routine with wheels-in-the-air--engine
*off*, I saw some bubbles coming up each time the wheel approached full
lock _left_. After about 10 times, it pretty much stopped bubbling, and I
topped up the fluid. This made a total of one liter. Then I lowered the
car and started engine. Level went down a bunch (4-5 ounces). Topped up and
turned the wheel lock/lock once or twice and the level went another ounce
or two further. Used about 1-1/4 liter altogether.
In my case, the bleeding _after_ the engine was running lowered the fluid
volume more than bleeding with the engine-off. Sounds like there's still
air trapped in your system. Did you do some lock-to-lock turns while
driving? If not, do a few. You may see the fluid level drop a bit.
