Valentine One upgrade?

offers an upgrade.

Has anyone done this?  It is $250, my V1 is two years old.

I have both an early 90's V-1 ('93 I think) and a late 1997 with laser.

What the new one does better:  Less X falsing in Logic mode, 
better (louder) sound, and it powers up in the mode
you powered it down in.  (Old one powers up in all-bogeys mode.)

I have noticed no difference with the range on X or K... and here
in WI my laser alarm has gone off twice in the past year... neither
time would have saved me had I been speeding.

My advice:  (1) Do nothing.... or

(2) Sell it for $300 or so and buy an new one.  These are hot items
on the used market.
