CLEANING

In the past I have used Vinylex (sp?) for cleaning all non-leather and
non-plastic parts of the interior plus outside plastic trim and tires. It
really works well without having that silicone look. It's made by the same
people that make the Lexol leather cleaner. It's sometimes hard to find,
but most catalogs and some stores have it. It also lets the materials
breath so they don't dry out and has sunscreen to help with color fading. I
haven't got around to doing the interior on the wife's A6, yet but the dash
is just fancy vinyl, right? (except for the wood and cloth areas), but I
can't imagine why it wouldn't work well here. Again, no affiliation, just a
satisfied customer.
