Re: Need help on repairing interittent 1991 200 speedo cluster

Peter;

    I have fixed this problem on my '91 200q. A copy of the TSB is at
http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/5614/
    In my case, the solder joints connecting the two green terminal blocks
to the circuit board were bad. They had already been resoldered, probably
under this TSB, and looked OK, but a process of elimination led me to
resolder them and the problem was solved. It was only then, of course, that
I found the TSB, thanks to a post by Dave Conner.
    The main board (the one with the lights in it) is the board that has the
problem. The swing-away board you describe is the autocheck computer board.
If you are having autocheck problems, Stabilant 22 on the board connectors
usually works wonders.
    My problem was not with a jerky speedo, but with dash/turn signal/ high
beam indicator lights "crossing circuits".
