Which exhaust to buy?

I own an 86 4kcsq, with a throaty 2" exhaust cat-back with no resonator, to a
"cherry bomb" out to twin 3" monza tips.  The car sounds great, especially
when opened up. 
I drew up the plans and had my friends bend it up for me.  It was for when I
did a turbo conversion, but I don't know when that "pipe dream" will ever be
realized.  Now the guys that bent it up for me, won't pass it for state
inspection because it's too loud.
So I'm in the market for a real muffler, not a "bomb"  But I need one that
will sound good, and fit my custom bent exhaust.  I've heard Scorpion is good,
but do they just sell the muffler?  
I need input on what the best sounding exhaust is, what I should pay, and
where I should go.  Thanks in advance for the help, I need a November sticker,
and I'm trying to avoid the ticket writers!!
