Don't pay a fortune- fix it yourself. It's only marginally more difficult
than an oil change or a brake job. Doesn't cost a fortune in parts either.

Maybe shifting in the seat causes the broken contacts to join and the
heater to work again? Anyway, they're supposed to be repairable by
soldering.

How about some Hella driving lights in the mean time? I guess better wiring
and relays for your DOT lights would help, too- and you can still use those
when you get the euro lights. It'll also save you from replacing the
headlight switch.

Hmmm... these are complicated cars, compared to your average sedan of the
period. When fixed, they offer lots of driving pleasure- but the fixes
(mostly the result of bad maintenance in the past) can get to you.
Sounds like nothing major is wrong with your car, just annoying little
problems. And so far, nothing I haven't read about on the q-list.
