Don't feel so bad. If you were comfortable and safe doing that speed, that
means that the d*mn speed limit is too low, not your speed too high.

Ah, pacing.
Cops in Poland have a new toy - called "Videoradar". This basically
consists of fast, unmarked patrol car (Ford Mondeo V6 being their favorite)
with calibrated speedometer and a video camera which also displays the
speed. The patrol car follows the offender keeping constant distance, then
the tape can be used as a very convincing proof in the court. If you are
not driving fast enough to satisfy their revenue quota, they'll tailgate
you and repeat your every maneuver to make you worry that you're about to
be robbed or something and encourage you to increase speed.
