This is a constant gripe for me. I keep going through cycles of losing
my right and high brake light due to poor connections at the left brake
light connector. The typical fix is to build up a little solder on the
male tab that goes to the brake light, making better contact from one
side of the 10 pin connector to the other.

But next time it happens, I'm gonna rebuild it with a different 4 pin
connector on each side (maybe like the ones that are on parts of the CC
circuit - four molex), hard wired to the light assembly. I'll use
female 1/4" connectors, when I've got them right I'll solder them on.

So for now you can try thickening the male pins with solder. It's not
easy but it can be done.

I've also noticed that on the taillight circuit "board" some of the
internal connections can become weak - in fact the left side one out of
one of my parts cars has a bolt replacing the brake light feed right
above the bulb.
