That consumption sounds rather high. Audi will claim it's within normal
(though from what I know this is the limit of their "normal"), however.
Try switching back to dino oil for a little while and see if it improves.
While this car is still young, synthetic can sometimes reveal leaks, etc.
that were masked by dino oil. If the consumption drops with dino, look for
leaking seals, etc. There are many places this motor can leak without
there being any external sign (valley pan, etc.).
My '93 90 (V6) with almost 73,000 miles uses about 1/2 quart every 3000
miles or so, has done so since day one, and switching to M1 15/50 hasn't
changed that one drop...
