VW sold the rights for the Iltis to Bombardier of Ski-Doo fame in the mid-
to late 80's.  The Canadian army used (uses still?) Iltises (Iltie?) built
outside of the beautiful city of Montrčal, complete with Bombardier logos in
lieu of the VW logos.  I don't know if the Royal Canadian Armed Forces has
started disposing of these vehicles, but there should be, at some point, a
source for the Urquattro enthusiasts...

i've checked my information about the lltis.  i hadn't realised that it was
actually produced at ingolstadt!
