V-6 Oil Consumption

Hi all -

Here's another data point.  My '93 with 83K miles uses approximately 
1 quart in 3K miles (I have a small leak, too), I am using Mobil 1 
15W-50.  Elliot Potter is correct, oil consumption is all over the 
place for this engine,some good and some bad.  Mine seems to use 1 
quart soon after an oil change and then stabilizes.  Once it becomes 
1 quart low it doesn't appear to be using the oil at the same rate.

Dan Gatlan's 1 quart in 1K miles is heavy.  I probably would live 
with it.  Perhaps going to a higher viscosity may help.
