Perhaps someone with a chemistry degree could explain just how this
'snake oil' works.  Mr. Myers?  You know, the type Eric Axelson is
promoting with blatant advertising. I have tried different products of
this ilk and they don't work _when_applied_as_directed_.  Might just
as well use a rust paint, same results.

And...you apply a coat of paint over top to "protect against
mechanical damage."  Now _that_ is rich (as used in the 'informal'
sense).
