remember that by the time we got the 3B motor in the US (1991) that engine
had been in use in Europe for a couple years. Also, the type 4A ('92-on
100) debuted in Europe a year (or two?) before. all in all, if you haven't
been in a 4A body, don't--you'll be really sorry (my dad has a '92 100s;
the fit & finish overall body structure is significantly better than in the
older cars, and you get a nice, simple, manual heater/ac system that flows
much more warm/cold air). now if i could just put my drivetrain into dad's
car...oh--audi beat me to it--an S4/6.
