Unfortunately not. In the S-cars, all you can do is unplug the power
connector from the top left of the steering rack, and that will _diminish_
the boost somewhat. Not as dramatic an effect as on the V8s (i.e. the
steering is still too light for my tastes), but a whole world better than
with Servotronic...

>From memory, the '91 Model Change book says servotronic uses a speed sensor to
vary assist with road speed. They show a nice graph giving lots of assist at
low speeds, and little at higher speeds. I think there's a servo that pulses
the fluid pressure to give assist. I'm not sure if the default (disconnected)
varies from high speed low assist; seems they'd provide _some_ assist as a
default. It seems possible that you could give the steering a default speed
signal (say 100 mph) and receive the appropriate boost for that signal at all
times; perhaps the speed signal could be altered with a resistor to allow some
assist at parking speeds, but very little at driving speeds.
Some S4/S6 owners have reported that the steering assist, when unplugged, is
insufficient in track use...
