... IME most aftermarket pads do not have the sensors. It is a fairly
simple matter to clip the connector off the old pads and short the two wires
and plug the stub back into the connector on the strut though! Since the
P.O. didn't do that for you you might have a bit of a problem finding the
connectors, but that is what I'd recommend that you do.
I suppose that you might want to check out some local pick-n-pulls or maybe
some of the Audi dismantlers ... they might even give you a couple for free
...
