Subject: Defective high pressure hoses--caveat emptor
<<<Long and completely justified rant snipped. I too have had problems with
UPS - the regular drivers are great (most of the time) but the substitutes
must be moles from the Postal Service or Fedex . . . >>>
James, why are you beating your head against the wall?
Hie thee to a hydraulics shop with the old leaky Gates hose and let them
cut off the ends and put some decent industrial grade hydraulic hose
between the fittings. Make sure they measure it correctly - if it is too
long or too short you'll have problems.
This procedure which WORKS, probably forever (they build hoses for
bulldozers and Mack trucks), cost me a whole $26 last time I did it, and
they did the hose while I waited - all of five minutes.
Best Regards,
Mike Arman
