Mark- My experience is on a a 1990 Audi V8, but I think relavent. The original
radio had inputs for two antennae. One from the windshield and one from the
rear window. The AM reception was poor at best. The dealer added (free) a
power antenna to my left rear fender, and used that instead of the rear window
antenna. Both AM and FM reception is now fine.
