Hi there Russ,

Yes, I too talked to Iain about them. It sounded as though they actually
were kits that were meant to be used as load reduction relays for starter
switches that cannot handle the load of the starter solenoid, not intended
explicitly for the Euro lights; it is just that they did provide a
convenient way to get relays that are connected to the starter or alternator
with sufficiently heavy gauge wire. I don't believe that the connectors and
pins that would be needed to wire the headlights up were included (I didn't
know about them at the time I talked to Iain). Perhaps one of the folks
that has decided to buy a set can correct me if I'm wrong ...

I think his asking price was something like $15 ... at that price it may be
worthwhile just for the parts ... I decided that I could probably get
exactly what I wanted with a couple relays and a weatherproof box from a
local surplus place. For those others who are installing the lights let me
parrot the part numbers for the connectors and pins from Scott M's or Jeff
G's websites ... you'll need two connector housings and shrouds each (447
972 957 and 447 941 189) along with 8 crimp pins (N0170851-4). If Iain will
throw in the connectors, shrouds and pins for that same price it is probably
a worthwhile deal ... although it wasn't clear to me that the relays could
handle the load of a pair of lights, meaning that you might need to buy 4 if
you are planning to go higher than stock wattage.

HTH!
