Re: Battery recommendations?

Craig,

You can get a Johnson Controls battery at Wal-Mart for cheap $$$. One
problem though, the handy-dandy touch screen directory will lead you to the
wrong battery for the '92 100... it doesn't have a vent. Be sure that you
double check the guide booklet because it contains a footnote about special
ordering the battery with the vent.

Or.... you could do what I've done and ignore the whole thing, go with a
non-vented battery and hope to God that you don't blow up.

Subject: Battery recommendations?

Another Lister recently posted that he was in the market for a new
  battery,
and was looking for suggestions for a replacement. Right on cue, my
  battery
died on me this morning. I was expecting it to fail sometime soon, since
starting was becoming more difficult in the past weeks. I looked to see
  if
there were any responses to the other Lister's request for suggestions,
  and
saw none (must have been all private replies). Interstate, Die-Hard,
  Exide,
Wal-Mart (Prostart?), OEM? Any one have a good / bad experience with any
  of
  the above (or others?)? TIA.
