At least in the '93-'95 90's, there are two amplifiers--the one for the
top three lines, which do not defrost, but pick up AM/FM, and another
one for the rest of the rear window, which does defrost, but picks up
only FM. Not sure why they break it up like this; maybe the defroster
interferes with the AM reception? Or perhaps the top three lines are
made of a different material to get better reception.
