O.K. now I know you either have a different car than everyone else or you got a
defective system from Scorpion.

I compared the muffler hanger locations between the UK car and my '83 Ur-q and
they are in exactly the same locations. To do that I compared a picture on page
103 in "The Audi Quattro Book" to my own car. I also compared other pictures too
and no differences with the way the tips look in the valance.
Your claim still does not make any sense.
Same muffler and same rear valance for all countries (the same part numbers for
eg. '83 Ur-q).
Now if you move the position of the muffler side to side but not the middle pipe
you end up with crooked tail pipes (muffler not perpendicular to the car).
You move the muffler with middle pipe either way you end up putting the middle
muffler either through the diff or the diff mount (using the downpipes end as a
turning point).
Did you do the comparison with a real UK car or you assumed the Scorpion muffler
was a perfect fit for the UK car? There is a big difference there.

I noticed this on the Stebro muffler. They assumed no one would be getting Euro
bumpers and made the tips stick out a lot but also made the chrome part very
short. Looks terrable if you get Euro bumpers or push the US bumpers in.

Why not, same part number for the muffler?
